How do i get apps on my nook color?

I want apps on my nook color. and im on Barnes and noble looking at the apps how do I get them on my nook to use. Like i really fliq notes like it goes onto my nook but whenever i click on it i cant use it it just has the option to recommend it and when i hold down on it i still dont have the option to use it. please help!!!
